Botox

Neuromodulators (Botox) are injectable medications that relax and soften the skin by restricting contractions of specific muscles.

More information about Neuromodulators (Botox, Dysport, etc)

What are Neuromodulators?

Botox, Dysport, Jeuveau and Xeomin are neuromodulators that smooth fine lines and wrinkles by preventing targeted facial muscles from contracting. The neuromodulator substances interact with the nerves beneath the skin, changing how the muscles react to signals telling them to contract and move. This innovative treatment causes the muscles in the face to relax which prevents the tension that causes lines and wrinkles. Over time, the result is smoother, firmer-looking skin.

At Skincredible Dermatology, we offer all four neuromodulators including:

  • BOTOX® Cosmetic
  • Dysport®
  • Jeuveau™
  • XEOMIN®

Botox, Dysport, Jeuveau and Xeomin are perfect for patients seeking to correct or prevent fine lines and wrinkles.

What can neuromodulators treat?

At Skincredible Dermatology, injections are used to target skin concerns such as crow’s feet, frown lines, laugh lines, and fine wrinkles around the jaw and neck.

Botox, Dysport, Jeuveau and Xeomin are typically used to treat three main areas of the face. They can treat:

  • The Glabella (commonly known as “Frown Lines” that occur when a person furrows their brow)
  • Crow’s Feet (fine lines located at the outer edge of the eyes)
  • Forehead

At Skincredible Dermatology, we develop an individualized treatment plan depending on your goals and budget.

Are Neuromodulators (Botox) Safe?

At Skincredible Dermatology, our trained providers offer a safe and effective experience. Choosing an accredited and highly rated team for your injections is the first step to a safe and comfortable procedure with long-lasting results.

The procedure is minimally invasive and highly effective. Our team ensures that it  is quick, comfortable, and painless.

Botox, Dysport, Jeuveau and Xeomin at Skincredible Dermatology

Botox, Dysport, Jeuveau and Xeomin treatments are designed with patient comfort in mind. The process involves an initial consultation to assess your skin’s condition and your goals for the treatment. The procedure plan, treatment type, and overall cost are determined at your individualized assessment.

Treatments only last a few minutes. There’s no anesthesia involved, and injections are made with a small-gauge needle as our provider uses a marked point guide for tiny injections.  The amount is determined by the provider to achieve the desired effect. There is minimal discomfort during injections.

Who is a Good Candidate for Botox, Dysport, Jeuveau and Xeomin?

We recommend Botox, Dysport, Jeuveau and Xeomin to patients who wish to correct skin damage and wrinkles caused by constant creasing in the facial features, aging, sun exposure, or rapid weight loss. We also serve many clients in their twenties and thirties who are interested in preventative skincare to slow the onset of signs of aging.  Neuromodulators are also used medically to help treat various muscle-related conditions such as teeth grinding, headaches, and bruxism.

How Long Do the Effects of Neuromodulators Last?

The length of injection effects depends on the area that has been treated and the unique composition of the skin. Typically, Neuromodulator injections such as Botox last between three and six months. The most visible results will begin to wear off after about four months. Some patients, however, report seeing lasting results for much longer.
