Dr. Kim was born and raised in Orange County and earned his undergraduate degree from the University of California, Berkeley. He went on to complete his podiatric medical education at the California School of Podiatric Medicine at Samuel Merritt University, where he graduated with honors and was inducted into Pi Delta, the national podiatric honor society.

He completed his surgical residency with the Kaiser North Bay Consortium, where he served as Chief Resident and received advanced training in foot and ankle trauma, reconstructive surgery, minimally invasive bunion surgery, diabetic limb salvage, and wound care.  Dr. Kim is board qualified with the American Board of Foot and Ankle Surgeons (ABFAS) and board certified with the American Board of Podiatric Medicine (ABPM).

Dr. Kim’s philosophy of care centers on restoring mobility and keeping patients active so they can continue doing the things they love. He emphasizes preventive care to help avoid future complications, and he believes in tailoring treatment plans to meet each patient’s individual goals and lifestyle. Recognizing that healthy feet are the foundation of overall well-being, Dr. Kim is dedicated to keeping his patients moving and living life to the fullest.

Outside of his practice, Dr. Kim enjoys backpacking with his wife, landscape photography, and golfing.
